200th Fund Established at the Community Foundation of Orange and Sullivan

IMG_0619The Community Foundation of Orange and Sullivan has recently established its 200th charitable fund, the Orange County Arts Council Endowment FundThis fund exists to support programs and services of the Orange County Arts Council, which was founded in 2007 to support the cultural community in the county.

“This endowment represents a significant milestone in the development of a new arts grant opportunity, as well as the growth and sustainability of the Orange County Arts Council. With the Council’s ten-year anniversary quickly approaching, our goal is to grow this fund to $100,000 by the end of 2016. We are already 25% there and we look forward to working with the Community Foundation of Orange and Sullivan Counties to make this goal a reality,” says Dawn Ansbro, Executive Director.

“This is an important step to help preserve support for the arts in Orange County at a time when government funding is becoming less dependable. As people think about donating, or work on their estate planning, please remember that a donation to this endowment insures the future of the arts in our county and enhances all of our lives,” says Mark Soss, Board President.

Orange County Arts Council focuses its modest financial and human resources on enabling the cultural community of Orange County to create, and in creating, to provide real public value for the benefit of all our residents and visitors. This value includes ensuring quality education for our youth, stimulating economic development, bolstering tourism and building community pride.
