The Make a Difference Fund was established by the Community Foundation of Orange and Sullivan to provide grants to local organizations that provide services and programs to children of low-income, disadvantaged or distressed families.

The 2015 Make a Difference Fund grant applications are now available. Funding priority will be given to charitable tax exempt organizations located in Orange County and Sullivan County, New York that provide programs or services for children of low-income, disadvantaged or distressed families and have a focus on the Arts. In 2015, the Community Foundation of Orange and Sullivan will consider multiple grants of up to $1,500. Applications must be received by August 1, 2015 and awards will be announced in late November. The 2014 Make a Difference Fund grant recipients were Big Brothers Big Sisters of Orange County, Inc. to support the Site Based Mentoring Program and the United Way of Sullivan County, Inc. to support the Snack Pack Program.
