The location serves as an anchor to build more philanthropic opportunities in Sullivan County
MONTGOMERY, NY (March 17, 2025) – The Community Foundation of Orange and Sullivan (CFOS) is pleased to announce the opening of its new office in the Sullivan County Chamber of Commerce site at 196 Bridgeville Road, Suite 7, Monticello, NY. This collaboration marks a significant step in furthering both organizations’ missions to engage with and serve the community, foster local business growth, and enhance philanthropic efforts throughout Sullivan County.
For more than 25 years, CFOS has played a pivotal role in supporting charitable giving, grantmaking, and nonprofit initiatives in both Orange and Sullivan counties. The Foundation currently manages over 420 charitable funds and has awarded nearly $30 million in grants and scholarships, significantly impacting the lives of residents and the strength of the region’s nonprofit sector.
“After supporting charitable giving in Sullivan County since 2007, it is so rewarding to have a true office space within county borders,” said CFOS President and CEO Elizabeth Rowley. “We look forward to using this location as an anchor for building many more relationships and funding opportunities in Sullivan County!”
The new office space within the Chamber’s headquarters will enhance access to CFOS’s resources, making it easier for local nonprofits, businesses, and individuals to engage with the Foundation’s programs. This partnership aligns with the Chamber’s ongoing commitment to connect, support, and advocate for local businesses and community organizations, contributing to the area’s economic growth and social impact.
“We are beyond excited to have the Community Foundation of Orange and Sullivan join us at the Chamber,” said Ashley Leavitt, President/CEO of the Sullivan County Chamber of Commerce. “Their dedication to supporting local philanthropy and nonprofit development makes them an invaluable asset to our community. By working together, we can create even greater opportunities for collaboration, ensuring both businesses and nonprofits thrive in Sullivan County.”
Community members, business leaders, and nonprofit organizations are encouraged to visit the Chamber office to welcome CFOS, learn more about their services, and explore ways to get involved in local philanthropy.
