American Snippets Fundraising Gala & Art Auction For Our Heroes
Join Us For Our Inaugural Event: The American Snippets Fundraising Gala and Auction This Saturday, at Orange County Choppers.
Join representatives of the American Snippets Fund, a new charitable endeavor started at the Community Foundation of Orange and Sullivan, by podcasters Dave Brown and Barb Allen. Their inaugural fundraising event, the American Snippets Fundraising Gala & Auction, featuring a performance by nationally acclaimed speed painter & inspirational speaker Tom Varano, will be held from 6:00-9:00 p.m., this Saturday, November 2, at Orange County Choppers, 14 Crossroads Court, in Newburgh.
Proceeds from this Saturday’s event — including an auction of Mr. Verano’s unique and powerful artwork — will support national nonprofits the Gary Sinise Foundation, which entertains, educates, inspires, strengthens, and builds communities for active military, veterans, first responders and their families; the Chris Kyle Frog Foundation, which restores military and first responder communities by keeping families together; the Nine Line Foundation, which supports severely wounded combat veterans; and the Young Marines, a youth education and service program. A local nonprofit will also be supported: Play for Your Freedom, a Newburgh-based group that offers monthly wellness workshops for local hospitalized veterans.

We’re going to come right out and say that all Americans owe a debt to those who serve and defend us, at home and abroad. Beyond the bumper stickers, wearing red on Fridays, and flying our flags high, we owe our true support. These men, women, and their families deserve the same opportunities we have to take full advantage of the blessings in this country.
Orange County native Barb Allen knows too well what the cost of our freedom is; her husband, Lt Louis Allen, lost his life in service to this country.
Barbara also knows full well how extraordinary the people of this community and this country are. She credits the enormous support of people and organizations who stepped up to help for her own ability to rebuild her life and raise her four boys. Now she is proud to do her part to give back to those same organizations, and others like them.
Together with her fiancé and business partner Dave Brown, Barb founded and runs the American Snippets podcast. More than a podcast, American Snippets actively supports the work of extraordinary people and organizations.
This inaugural event is a precursor to the main event, The Great American Summit, which takes place in Washington, DC metro area, April 17-18, 2020. It’s a Patriotic Entrepreneurial Event in the Nation’s Capital. All event proceeds will be donated to organizations that support the military, law enforcement, and first responder communities.
