The Blustein, Shapiro, Frank & Barone Scholarship Fund awards scholarships to student(s) with a minimum high school GPA of 3.3. Consideration will be given to well-rounded students, whether it be through participation in sports, school clubs, community service, or working a job outside of school. Participation in mock trial is a plus but not required for the scholarship. Financial need will be a factor, but applicants of any financial background will be considered. Students from the Goshen, Middletown, and Pine Bush school districts are eligible to receive this scholarship.

Applications will be available yearly through the Community Foundation’s online portal and will require written responses to these questions:

• Please describe with specificity why you are interested in a career in the law?

• What subject do you plan on majoring in in college and how do you anticipate that course of study will prepare you for a legal career?

• Describe the greatest challenge you have needed to overcome during your lifetime?
