Teitelbaum and Cellini recognized for Commitment to Community

Cocks Award for Commitment to Community; Karen VanHouten Minogue, Executive Director, Community Foundation of Orange and Sullivan; Mr. Anthony P. Cellini, Supervisor, Town of Thompson, co-recipient of 2012 David T. Cocks Award for Commitment to Community; and Gerald Jacobowitz, Esq., President, Community Foundation Board of Directors.

Over 325 attendees were in attendance on November 14to see Dr. Hal Teitelbaum, JD, MBA, Managing Partner and CEO of Crystal Run Healthcare and Mr. Anthony P. Cellini, Town of Thompson Supervisor, receive the David T. Cocks Award for Commitment to Community, presented by the Community Foundation of Orange and Sullivan.

The evening celebrated the accomplishments of Cellini and Teitelbaum, and the Foundation’s milestone of exceeding $8.1 million in over 140 charitable funds that enhance the quality of life in the region. One of the newest funds established, The Make a Difference Fund, focuses on funding for children and families at risk. Inaugural grants of $500 were proudly announced and awarded to co-recipients Town of Wallkill Boys and Girls Clubs, Inc. for the InfluenceHer and Boys Program which serves at-risk and high-risk youth in Sullivan County, and Dispute Resolution Center for the agency’s Court Appointed Special Advocates CASA Volunteer Program to assist with transportation expenses for CASA volunteers who work with abused and neglected children involved in the Family Court system in Orange County.
