Nonprofit Registration is Open for 7th Annual Hudson Valley Gives

Online giving day hosted by the Community Foundation of Orange and Sullivan is planned for May 18

MONTGOMERY, NY (February 3, 2022) – With the pandemic continuing to wreak havoc on nonprofits’ ability to host traditional in-person events, the timing couldn’t be better for the launch of this year’s Hudson Valley Gives! Registration is now open at HVGives.org for nonprofits who wish to participate in the region’s one and only 24-hour online day of giving which will take place on May 18.

“Nonprofits in the region need a way to reach the generous base of online donors who wish to support their important work, and Hudson Valley Gives provides that platform,” said Nicole Feller Lee, CFOS Director of Development and Communications. “We encourage all local nonprofits to register early so they can begin spreading the word to their donor base leading up to May 18th!”

Any 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization incorporated in or serving the Hudson Valley — as well as charitable funds at local community foundations — may participate in Hudson Valley Gives. To register, visit HVGives.org.

This year marks the 7th annual Hudson Valley Gives. Over the last six years, Hudson Valley Gives has supported hundreds of nonprofits in seven Hudson Valley counties by raising more than $2 million. It’s anticipated that the 24-hour event will top last year’s unprecedented success.

All donations received at HVGives.org are deposited directly into each participating organization’s bank account. The nonprofits are eligible for additional prize money thanks to the generosity of corporate sponsors. For more information on how to participate in or sponsor Hudson Valley Gives, contact CFOS Director of Development and Communications Nicole Feller Lee at Nicole@cfosny.org.

SUNY Orange Foundation is among the nonprofits participating in HV Gives.
