The Community Foundation manages a multitude of scholarship funds established by individuals, families, businesses and organizations to assist high school, college, career and technical school students as well as adults continuing their educations. Our scholarships range in amount from $250 to $25,000 and have a wide array of granting criteria including academic achievement, athletic ability, community service, leadership skills, strength in the face of adversity, and more. There truly is something for every hard-working student!
We are proud to honor the memories of outstanding individuals with a high number of memorial scholarships. Students from every school district in Orange and Sullivan counties are eligible to apply for one or more of our scholarships. These awards are charitable grants that the recipient is not required to repay. Scholarships are distributed directly to the awardee’s school and may be used for educational expenses such as tuition, fees and books.
All scholarships can be applied for through our online portal. Students must begin the process by completing a common application with a built-in eligibility quiz. Upon completion, students will receive an email informing them which scholarships they are being considered for and/or are eligible to apply for. Some scholarships require supplemental materials that must be completed for consideration.
