The Community Foundation of Orange and Sullivan, a 501 (C) (3) non-profit public charity, was established in 1999 as a vehicle to promote philanthropy in perpetuity for charitable organizations throughout our region.  The Community Foundation accomplishes this by assisting donors in executing their charitable intentions and encouraging them to make a difference in the community.  Community Foundation President and CEO, Karen VanHouten Minogue, explained “These locally-based endowment funds that were established for the purpose of awarding scholarships, are only one example of how endowment funds can promote educational advancement and help support worthwhile causes.  Endowment funds are a powerful way to leave a legacy in your community.”  For more information, please visit our website at www.cfoc-ny.org or call 845-769-9393.
