Make a Difference Fund Announces Inaugural Grants

The Make a Difference Fund was established by the Community Foundation of Orange and Sullivan to provide grants to local organizations that provide services and programs to children of low-income, disadvantaged or distressed families. It is a fund, like all of our funds, to which anyone may donate. The needs are endless and your generosity is appreciated.

The board of directors is proud to announce inaugural grants from the Make a Difference Fund:

Town of Wallkill Boys and Girls Clubs, Inc. – a grant of $500 for the InfluenceHer and Boys program to expand the program which serves at-risk and high-risk youth in Sullivan County.  The program provides mentoring and literacy programs to empower them to make good decisions.

Dispute Resolution Center – a grant of $500 for the Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) volunteers.  The grant will provide transportation expense for CASA volunteers who travel to provide services to abused and neglected children who are involved in the Family Court system throughout Orange County.

Alexis Eggleton, Executive Director of Town of Wallkill Boys & Girls Clubs, Inc., Donna Ramlow, Director of a Dispute Resolution Center’s CASA Program, and Roz Magidson, Executive Director of Dispute Resolution Center.
