Scholarships Administered by the Community Foundation of Orange, Sullivan & Rockland
The Community Foundation of Orange, Sullivan & Rockland (CFOSR) stewards a diverse portfolio of scholarship funds created by individuals, families, businesses, and organizations who believe in the power of education. Through these funds, we are proud to support students pursuing postsecondary education and training—including high school seniors, current college students, career and technical learners, and adults returning to school.
Scholarship awards vary in amount and criteria and may recognize academic achievement, leadership, community service, resilience, artistic or athletic talent, financial need, or a combination of factors. Many of our scholarships honor remarkable lives through memorial funds, helping to carry forward their legacies by investing in future generations. We encourage students and families to explore the opportunities below and apply to those for which they may be eligible.
Who Should Apply
CFOSR scholarships support a diverse range of students, including:
- High school seniors
- Adult and nontraditional learners
- Students pursuing college, trade school, or certification programs
- Residents of Orange, Sullivan, and Rockland Counties
- Students meeting specific school, program, or fund-based criteria
Eligibility requirements vary by scholarship and are determined by each fund’s guidelines.

How to Apply
All CFOSR scholarships are managed through our online Scholarship Portal.
Applicants must first create a profile in the portal. Once registered, applicants may complete the Universal Scholarship Application and access additional scholarship opportunities for which they may be eligible. Some scholarships may require supplemental materials, such as essays or letters of recommendation.
Applicants are encouraged to begin early to allow adequate time to gather required documentation and complete all application components before the deadline.
Please note that scholarship awards are paid directly to the educational institution the student is enrolled to attend and are applied toward eligible educational expenses.
