Community volunteers and staff of the Community Foundation are actively planning the 2013 Annual Reception with an “island-theme” for the Silent Auction based on a donation by Dr. Michele Winchester-Vega of a one-week resort stay in the Dominican Republic. The resort stay and many other exciting items will be raffled off at the November 20 affair at which Dr. Robert Dinsmore, Medical Director-Hospice of Orange and Sullivan Counties, and Partner-Crystal Run Healthcare; and Darrell Supak, Chairman-Catskill Regional Medical Center and Senior VP and Chief of Staff-Granite Associates, will be honored.  Dinsmore and Supak are co-recipients of the 2013 David T. Cocks Award for Commitment to Community, given since 2011 in memory of Mr. Cocks who served the Community Foundation with distinction from 2002 to 2011 and was the former president and CEO of Walden Savings Bank up to his untimely passing in 2002.  For advance tickets, sponsorships, or journal ad commitments, call the Foundation office at 769-9393 or go to www.cfoc-ny.org.
