Community Foundation awards $4,700 in scholarships in Warwick
Five graduating seniors of Warwick High School were awarded scholarships on May 30 from The Alison Klepper Memorial Fund, The Jodi’s Drive Scholarship Fund, the John P. Williamson Memorial Fund,and the Anthony C. Quinn Memorial Scholarship Fund, charitable funds administered through the Community Foundation of Orange and Sullivan.
The Alison Klepper Memorial Fund established by Fred and Mary Ann Klepper, as a way to honor and celebrate their daughter Alison, to provide scholarships to Warwick Valley High School graduating seniors.
The 2013 Alison Klepper Memorial Scholarship recipient is:
- Emily Zarow
Recipients of the Alison Klepper Memorial Scholarship are selected based future plans to study photography, equine studies, graphic or media arts and an essay on how he/she has overcome a significant obstacle in his/her life.
The Jodi’s Drive Scholarship was established by family and friends of Jodi-Ann Denmead to celebrate and honor her through scholarships to Warwick Valley High School graduating seniors.
The 2013 Jodi’s Drive Scholarship recipient is:
- Georgia Bender
Recipients of The Jodi’s Drive Scholarship are selected based on academic achievement; school sports or clubs; volunteer in the community; demonstrate by essay how he/she has overcome a significant obstacle in his/her life; and an essay describing how academic, school, community/work obligations are managed.
The John P. Williamson Memorial Scholarship Fund was created to celebrate the life of John P. Williamson, an FDNY firefighter who tragically lost his life on September 11, 2001, to provide a scholarship to one young man and one young woman who are graduating from Warwick Valley High School.
The 2013 John P. Williamson Scholarship recipients are:

The Anthony C. Quinn Memorial Scholarship Fund was created by family and friends to celebrate Anthony C. Quinn, a teacher, swim coach and alumnus of Warwick Valley High School. This fund provides a scholarship to a graduating student from Warwick Valley High School who has demonstrated consistent, outstanding, high school achievements during his/her four consecutive years of high school.
The 2013 Anthony C. Quinn Scholarship recipient is:
