The rising nonprofit professional brings a decade of broad-based experience to the Foundation.
MONTGOMERY, NY (October 20, 2021) – The Community Foundation of Orange and Sullivan (CFOS) this month welcomed Lisa Mitchell as its new Programs & Donor Services Coordinator. Mitchell manages the Foundation’s extensive scholarship and grant programs.
From building applications to awarding funds to students and nonprofits, Mitchell is the point of contact for any donor requests regarding outgoing funds. She also works on special projects and programs, establishing connections between donors and nonprofits, and any other areas as needed.
“We are thrilled to have Lisa as the most recent addition to our already strong team,” said Elizabeth Rowley, CFOS President and CEO. “She brings a fresh perspective and enthusiasm to the position and is poised to be a valuable resource for donors, nonprofits and students alike.”
Mitchell joined CFOS with more than a decade of broad-based experience in program coordination, customer service, revenue growth, and operations management. Her most recent role was as the assistant manager and fitness trainer at Curves Health & Fitness Club. A Zumba enthusiast, she hosted a successful fundraiser to benefit the Alzheimer’s Association, a cause near and dear to her heart.
Mitchell recently graduated Cum Laude from SUNY New Paltz with a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations, Advertising, and Applied Communications. While earning her Applied Associates degree in Science at SUNY Orange, she was awarded a Certificate of Merit for outstanding academic achievement in AAS Marketing. A Bronx native, Mitchell currently calls the town of Monroe her home.
