Illuminate Goshen Established within the Community Foundation

Goshen, NY – Illuminate Goshen has been established within the Community Foundation of Orange and Sullivan as a project to improve the quality of life by illuminating downtown Goshen during the holiday season and organizing a yearly New Year’s Eve ball drop.

“Illuminate Goshen has two main goals; to illuminate downtown Goshen during the holiday season with lights and to organize an annual New Year’s Eve ball drop. We will be hosting several fundraisers to help us raise enough money to make Goshen brighter than you’ve ever seen it before! Our goal is to raise $50,000 dollars in our first year for lights and expenses related to our events. Please join us at our first fundraising event on April 25th, 2015 at Villa Venezia where we will be celebrating the beginning of a bright future!” said Molly O’Donnell, President of Illuminate Goshen. For sponsorships and tickets for the dinner dance, please visit www.facebook.com/IlluminateGoshen.

“I am thrilled at the outpouring of support for Illuminate Goshen.  The response has been overwhelming and demonstrates the wonderful volunteerism that Goshen is all about.  This new nonprofit will benefit not only the local economy but will improve quality of life for all residents of the greater Goshen community.  I cannot wait to see our already beautiful Village fully illuminated,” said Kyle Roddey, Mayor of Goshen.
