Kidz4Causes Fund Awards $500 Grant to Eleanor Roosevelt Center at Val-Kill

Montgomery, NY – The Kidz4Causes Fund has made its official inaugural grant in the amount of $500 to Eleanor Roosevelt Center at Val-Kill (ERVK) to support the work of Girls’ Leadership Worldwide and other work done by ERVK.

The Girls’ Leadership Worldwide Program holds two exciting and transformational nine-day programs for high school girls who desire to make a difference in their own lives, their communities and the world. With Eleanor Roosevelt’s life and legacy as a model, girls diverse in culture and geography, bring their passion and leadership potential to life. Girls experience interactive workshops, field trips to New York City, the United Nations and other significant sites, while building supportive relationships with inspiring mentors and peers.

Kidz4Causes is a group of high school and college students who give back by fundraising for various charitable causes. Through their efforts Kidz4Causes is cultivating the next generation of philanthropists.  The vision of Kidz4Causes is to make the world a better place by educating others about issues that affect children globally, and supporting nonprofit organizations that address those issues. To date, Kidz4Causes has supported mini-grants to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, Nora Cronin Presentation Academy, Doctors without Borders, Hospice, Haitian Children Relief, Habitat for Humanity, Queen’s Galley, Amnesty International, Ronald McDonald House, Greater Hudson Valley Family Health Center, Equality Now, Grace Smith House, and San Miguel Academy.
