Dear Friend of the Community Foundation,
Late last week, Karen Minogue notified me that she has accepted a new position. Karen has done much to help the Community Foundation of Orange and Sullivan grow and become an integral part of this community over the past ten years, and she will be greatly missed. Her last day with us will be October 16.
Fortunately, our Board of Directors has a comprehensive strategic plan, including a CEO succession plan in place. Our executive committee unanimously decided to offer the President and CEO role to our Director of Development, Elizabeth Rowley. This decision is consistent with our succession plan. With Elizabeth’s extensive nonprofit experience, two years of mentorship by Karen and strong local roots, she is competent and poised to assume this role. Within the next week, we expect to post the Director of Development position that will be vacated by Ms. Rowley when she assumes her new role on October 17.
We plan to celebrate Karen’s contributions with an open house and reception on October 14 at the Community Foundation’s offices in Montgomery. Please join us between 3:00 pm and 6:00 pm, with a brief program scheduled for 5:15 pm. Please join us for the opportunity to congratulate Karen and welcome Elizabeth to the helm of our organization.
Thank you,
