Community Foundation – Ronnie Honigsbaum-Caplan-Bensley Fund
awards $4,000 scholarship to Tomas Uhliarik

Tomas Uhliarik

Tomas Uhliarik, who will be attending Binghamton University, was awarded a scholarship from The Ronnie Honigsbaum-Caplan-Bensley Fund, a charitable fund administered by the Community Foundation of Orange and Sullivan.

The Ronnie Honigsbaum-Caplan-Bensley Fund is awarded to a high school graduating student or current full-time college student with a cumulative average of 3.6, who is a U.S. citizen or foreign born non U.S. citizen with intent on becoming a U.S. citizen, who is pursuing full-time higher education, is in need of emergency financial assistance, and who has exhausted all other avenues of financial assistance. The student must exhibit the values and life skills necessary for productive citizenship, and will have shown an ability to develop their potential for success in business, academia, government and/or any other category.

The ultimate goal of the Ronnie Honigsbaum-Caplan-Bensley Fund is that students who are recipients of grants from this fund will help perpetuate the Ronnie Honigsbaum-Caplan-Bensley Fund by either striving to raise additional money for the fund or by making their own donations to it once he/she has achieved his/her degree and financial independence.

The Ronnie Honigsbaum-Caplan-Bensley Fund is facilitated through the Community Foundation of Orange and Sullivan, a 501(c)(3) public charity that was created to help individuals, organizations, and businesses establish charitable endowments within their community.  To create your own charitable endowment, to add to this fund, or to an existing named endowment, contact the Community Foundation, Karen VanHouten Minogue, at (845) 769-9393 or e-mail karen@cfoc-ny.org.
