Dustin James Fallen Police Officer Memorial Fund

Date Established: December 27, 2017

On Monday, June 6th, we will be hosting our 5th Annual Dustin James Memorial Fund Golf Tournament at West Hills Country Club in Middletown, NY. These golf outings serve as our primary fundraising event each year as we continue to raise money and award scholarships to local graduating seniors who aspire to be part of the first responder community. Dustin had such a strong presence in this community and he would be honored and humbled that his name is still present. Events like this are not possible without sponsors or golfers, and it is our hope that you will consider participating in our efforts in any way possible. Attached you will find sponsorship levels listed along with the included benefits, as well as golfer privileges. We thank you in advance for your time in reading this and appreciate your consideration. Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us at or call Maryellen James at (845) 863-4306.

Established in memory of Dustin James, a young Village of Walden Police Officer who died in an off-duty motorcycle accident, this fund awards two scholarships annually – one each to Valley Central High School and Beacon High School graduates.

This fund may also award grants to support the Summer Youth Police Cadet Program in the City of Beacon.
