Jose (Jason) Brizell was a proud employee of Equilibrium Brewery in Middletown, NY and an employee at Sams Club also in Middletown, NY. He loved his friends, family, going to the gym, boxing/UFC, and getting a laugh out of anyone he could. 

At 24 years old Jose (Jason) passed away unexpectedly in a hiking accident at Minnewaska State Park on March 21st 2021. His parents Ron and Noreen, and Brittany (his friend) have made this fund to keep his memory alive. 

The proceeds from this fund will go towards something he loved, boxing/UFC. We plan to fund children under the age of 18 who are passionate about boxing/UFC to take classes! We felt this would be a positive and fun way to keep his memory alive! We also plan to donate towards Eating Disorder Organizations in honor of an extremely close family friend that has been Jose (Jason’s) parents rock throughout this entire life-changing tragedy. Lastly, a portion will go to a Middletown High School senior applying to college. 

We want to thank the Minnewaska Rescue team for assisting Jose (Jason) as fast as they could. We would also like to thank Equilibrium Brewery for making a beer in honor of him called “MCity”. Another batch of this beer will be released mid/late-September and a percentage of the earnings will be going towards this fund! 

We hope this fund will bring comfort to all of his family, friends, and co-workers who loved him as much as he loved them.
