This Fund was established in memory of beloved St. Raymond’s baseball coach Marc DeLuca who passed away tragically in December 2020. Marc was truly an exceptional teacher and coach. His guidance, leadership and relationships with his students and players is what really set Marc apart from the rest. He worked with his players endlessly and encouraged them to do their best both on and off the field. He taught with his heart and it made a real difference in many players’ lives. Marc was the safety so many students desperately looked for. He was their constant. He was their leader.

As much as St. Raymond was a part of his life, the most important thing to him was his family – a “girl Dad” to Gabriella and Sienna and husband to Cassandra. Marc lit up whenever he spoke of them. Marc had a huge heart, always cared about others. He was an amazing son, brother, uncle, cousin, friend and teammate who is so loved and will be deeply missed by all.

This fund will distribute an annual scholarship to a baseball player attending St. Raymond’s High School for Boys in Bronx, NY, who demonstrates qualities that Marc exemplified and a desire to align their education at St. Raymond’s with Marc’s legacy.
