This fund awards a scholarship annually to a Walden resident graduating from Valley Central High School. The successful applicant should have a minimum 3.0 GPA, have articulated their goals for higher education in the application process and have prior acceptance to an accredited four-year college or university. The award will be based both on objective merit and demonstrated need.

Preference should be given to a graduating senior, but in the event no such person qualifies in a given year, the award may be given to a Walden resident already in college or graduate school, even if that person has been a previous recipient of the scholarship.
